We arrived at Tooloona St to find a solid peaky easterly swell in smooth conditions. Paddling out was a challenge and we were all pleased to get at least 2 waves. The general smooth conditions held until the middle of the 2nd round when a sharp shower brought a strengthening onshore breeze which chopped up the conditions. Some wipe-outs were the on the cards and 1st prize goes to Sully – for the best wipe-out. Damo had been on holidays during the week and he was in fine form and the conditions suited his style. Well done Damo, Wayne and Robbie in tricky conditions in the final.
