Hi all,
I hope everyone is well and in good shape for our annual "STATE OF ORIGIN CONTEST" which will be held at our next club round on the 20th May 2007. This has been a great tradition of the C.L.C to produce a great day for all to enjoy and a state vs. state, mate vs. mate concept, and the banter is always a treat at all state of origin functions with the Queenslanders having the bragging rites from the last 2 years will and they definitely be looking to make it 3 in a row. Good luck to all, I hope we enjoy the day.
Well with only 2 weeks to go, those heading south to the famed back beaches and point surfing of the south coast would be getting very excited, I no I can't wait to be waking at 4am Monday the 21st for the slow drive south and surfing twice a day everyday for a week. The uncrowded waves, the time with your mates, the huge amount of piss we consume, the fine food we eat, the country club, standing on the point watching some great surfing, the bowls day, I could go on and on but those that travel in search of good things in life always reap the rewards. To those who are going travel safe, be happy and enjoy the freedom.
Great club round again at T land I hope all enjoyed the day. Congratulations to Wayne Beggs on winning the day, and it was also great to see a couple of new guys in Mike from Redland bay who has joined the famous Currumbin Club and Steve, Ronnys mate from a past time, both got to show their skills in the 3-4ft straight hander's that was on offer for the day.
That's all from me - go the blues and have fun.
Cheers Sully.
