President's Report - July 2007
Hi all - I hope everyone is in good health and you have all been lapping up the consistent surf that winter has to offer.
Lost - we at the Currumbin Longboard Club have lost our BALLS, has anyone spotted, seen or been hang'n out with our BALLS, I can not believe it, for the first time in over a decade we have held a club round at the famed T-Land break and had no BALLS. I know that it is winter and it is very cold but even then 1 BALL usually pops out for a look at the conditions, have a quick chat and maybe a quick surf when the sun is high in the sky, but our BALLS are missing. I do know that our BALLS like the warmer weather and love a Sunday morning lie in after a busy working week, but a club can't function properly with no BALLS, so if any one has been in contact with one of our BALLS, surfed with or seen our BALLS please let them know we are at T-Land for our club round on the 15th and it would be good to see our BALLS back in the water with us again.
Welcome and congratulations to our new members Steve and Bianca Anstiss. Steve with daughter Bianca turned up at the T-Land break and surfed the house down, tore the T-Land bank apart, Steve with his very casual and flowing style and Bianca with her very traditional and precise surfing the highlight of a great day. Bianca surfed a great final to out shine the boys and win her 1st club round, well done. For the 12 surfers that turned up it was a great day the waves were fantastic fun, the water pristine and a really good day was had by all. A big thanks to scrooge who celebrated his birthday by buying his mates a box of new cans, well done we all enjoyed a beer with him and also the B.B.Q that the chef "Rance" cooked up.
See you all on Sunday the 15th at 6.00 - 6.30am at T-Land
Cheers Sully.
